Q: Do you charge any fees?
A:
Yes, we charge a fee for drug screen and background checks.

Q: When is pay day?
A:
Thursday. (Holidays may affect payday)

Q: How long will I be a temp?
A:
There is a 90 day probation period with most of our companies, however this can be altered depending on when the client would like to hire the employee. After your designated probation period you will need to talk with your supervisor about being hired in.

Q: Does my pay go up when I get hired full-time?
A:
The pay raise is between the employee and the client. Generally, there is a raise once hired in.

Q: How old do you have to be to work at Top Shelf
A:
All employees must be over the age of 18. No exceptions.

Q: I do not have a clean background. Will that affect me getting a job?
A:
No. You will not be disqualified for a job if you do not have a clean background.

Q: Are you an equal-opportunity employer?

Absolutely! If you want to work, Top Shelf Staffing will put you to work no matter your gender, race, disability, or sexual orientation.

Q: How do I get my child support taken out of my check?
A:
It is up to you to inform us you need garnishments taken out of your check. You will need to call the child support office and have them fax a copy of the order to 706-281-1870 or they can email it to awomac@topshelfstaffing.net.

Q: How often do I check in about jobs?
A:
Once a day is required. Our jobs change sometimes by the hour so it is the responsibility of the employee to call and check in with us.

Q: I'm having issues with a co-worker and/or supervisor that is affecting my ability to perform my job. What should I do?
A:
Top Shelf Staffing is your employer. If you have any issues with your assignment, contact your recruiter and we will address this with the company on your behalf.

Q: I was hurt on the job and your office is closed.
A: Immediately inform your supervisor
and seek medical attention if needed. Contact us the following business day. Please remember you will be required to bring all of your medical paperwork from the doctor and/or Emergency Room so we can begin the work comp process. If Top Shelf Staffing does not know you are injured or you do not provide us with your injury paperwork from a doctor/ER you may be liable for the medical bills.

Q: How do I get my W2's?
A:
W2's are mailed out by January 31st every year. You can also have the W2 email directly to you. If you have a change of address Top Shelf Staffing can have the document emailed or mailed to the correct address. Please make sure you keep your information updated with your recruiter by no later than January 10th.

Q: I lost my pay card. What do I do?
A:
Employees need to contact Top Shelf Staffing immediately if they no longer have their pay card. You can leave a message on the “Contact Us” page after hours on weekends or call us at 706-281-1536 during business hours.

Q: Do you have insurance?
A:
Yes. We offer medical insurance to employees, contact your recruiter for more information.

Q: Do you pay time and a half for overtime?
A:
Yes.
